Fast Easy Bunny Wall Hanging, Just in Time for Easter

Hello friends! Today we are going to be making a cute and very inexpensive Easter Bunny wall hanging.  Almost all of the supplies were from the Dollar Tree.  You will love this Easter wall decor, and you can even leave it up past Easter as Spring Decor. The printable instruction card is at the end.

Materials:

Materials for Easter Bunny Wall Hanging

Silver Platter from Dollar Tree

Easter sign from Dollar Tree

Chalk Paint any color that matches your decor. I used Glacier by Folk Art.

Burlap or linen type ribbon, with a wired edge

Small Zip Tie

Flowers from Dollar Tree or Amazon

Tools:

paint brush

glue gun

Wire Cutters

Scissors

Sandpaper, or a sanding block fine grit

Step 1

Paint the platter. When painting on plastic like the platter, it will take 2 coats. I usually use chalk paint because it “sticks” better. You could use a primer and spray the platter, then paint or spray whatever your final color will be.

Step 2

Dry brush black on the edges, I went heavy on the dry brush. After it’s dry, drybrush more blue over it.

Step 3

Lightly sand the edges to expose layers of silver, blue and black.

Step 4

Remove the bunny from the sign. I found that bending the sign to get the bunny off worked better than trying to pull it from the front.

Step 5

Glue the Bunny to the center of the platter

Step 6

Make the bow. See the tutorial here for how to make the bow.  It is the Pretty Little Basic Bow.

Step 7

Attach the flowers to the platter.  Just a tip, the hot glue is HOT! I use a craft stick to hold things in place while they dry so I don’t burn my fingers. Ok so I don’t burn them as much. It still happens sometimes.

After I had the stems glued down, I went over the whole thing with more hot glue, just to be sure they would not come off.

Step 8

Attach the bow.  I glued the bottom edge of the bow over the stems of the flowers to hide them.

Now all that is left to do is to hot glue a piece of twine to the back at the top as a hanger.

Enjoy your new Easter Bunny Wall Hanging. It’s Easter wall decor you can use year after year, and even into spring as spring decor.
