About An Enchanted Nest

My name is Amy Bullock, and I am the founder of An Enchanted Nest(previously Good Little Home). I started An Enchanted Nest because I wanted to create a place where I could share my DIY and Home decorating passions. DIY room decor projects are so much fun.  Now I have found two new passions to share, Tablescapes, and Furniture Rescue.

Then I couldn’t help but write some about family and critters,  so here we are now. A place where we can go for ideas about making our house a home.  So if you love DIY and crafting, furniture refinishing, and decorating then you have landed in the right place. Good Little Home will walk you through making and doing things for your family and home to make it better, one little project at a time.

MEET AMY

I am a lover of Home Decor, Crafts, Family Time, and of course my pets.  I started out my love of Decor with a job at a company that provided Corporate Theme Party decor. I learned set building, and many other building skills, as well as floral design, table design, and room design. After working there for 10 years I  was able to manage crews on site as well as to design Corporate Party decor. Although now an empty nester  I raised 2  children as a stay-at-home Mom. I have also worked as a Vet Tech and have raised and shown rabbits and chickens. I have a judging license for Serama Chickens and have judged many 4H and FFA rabbit and chicken shows. I also hold an Associates’ degree in Business, Arts, and General Studies. I am married to Greg Bullock whom you will find occasionally and reluctantly helping me with projects.

Experience with Pets

I am sort of obsessed with all things feathered. We have about 30 chickens, 6 ducks, a turkey and  3  parrots.  I am a licensed Serama (type of chicken) tabletop judge. The little cutie with me in the picture is Brownie. (she is not a Serama)

Other things about me:

Along with all the feathered pets, we also have 2 dogs, a cat, 2  goats,  and a frog. We have also had horses, donkeys, and even a pet Tarantula. (it was Greg’s, and it lived to be about 5 years old.) My daughter and I used to will that spider to disappear, it gave us the Heebie-jeebies , when it finally died I did feel a little bad.  When I was little I wanted to be a Veterinarian when I grew up.

I live on about an acre and a third of pure desert rock. Container gardening is my friend.

I admit that I can’t butcher and eat my own animals, but their milk and eggs are a whole different story. Goats milk Ice Cream is the best!

I am a licensed Real Estate Agent in Arizona, and I serve the East Valley of Phoenix, mainly Queen Creek.  I have been doing this for 6 years. You can find my Real Estate stuff at Amy Bullock, The AZ Realty (are you ready for it?) Chick.  Well of course.

I have spent more of my life doing accounting and book-keeping than any other job. I am still the book-keeper for my veterinarian, and have done her books for over 20 years.

Are you a polished writer? Not me. I probably use waaay too many ( ) in my writing, and also a heck of a lot of !!!

Quirky, yup. I am terrified of heights but, I love Roller Coasters.  One of my chickens is a house chicken.

Coffee is my favorite beverage, and I am a dedicated coffee drinker, I like mine black and strong.

I was a redhead most of my life..

And this is what it’s really like to try to work at Good Little Home while planning DIY room decor projects.
